start – middle – end

First Rob and i was next. I’ve been ill the last couple of day’s. Well i was ill on wednesday. Yesterday and today i felt a lot better but still weak. Now today i’m feeling a bit better then the days before. Lets hope for me i’ll be the normal me again at the beginning of next week. If the wind is coming from the south you better stay in cause it’s not such a nice flu.

Good news after bad news.
A Belgian horse is coming tomorrow together with the owner and her daughter of the owner which is one of the Belgian vaulters. I dont know for how long they’re staying but i’m looking forward to there arrival. The horse will stay so Rob and I can train the horse for the Belgians and at the same time it will be some training for me too. Must feel a bit weird jumping on the horse again but i’m looking forward. Now all we need is some good weather, a horse with a good attitude and no more flu’s.

So where were we.
Tour the France round 2&3, and a new bourne foal! The little guy is round 2 weeks old now and it’s a special one. It might be one of the or the most special frisian horse out there at the moment. His mother has one of the most rare blood lines there are and same goes for his father. Lets hope for the family the little guy becomes a beautiful stallion.
Remarkable things in round 2 of the Tour de France. A beautiful old building in center of Trouville. 15000,- Ferrari kiddy car in a toy store. One “forbidden don’t go any further than this” sign isn’t enough, three should do the job. And I found a bakery whom sold ham&cheese croissants. Enjoy the pictures!

Final thoughts.
I’ve been thinking about a certain subject which is playing at the moment and it made me realize that the core of man kind is getting taught what to do, some years ago work and nowadays school and work afterwords. Even when i was at home i realized that there are so many things to see or do on earth. Everyone knows about it via radio, television & internet but still sooo many people stay at home start working, build up some sort of a career and a family usually follows. I would suspect that ever-since the possibilities are really becoming endless that at-least half of the new generation would go abroad and travel or work and travel. And by traveling i don’t mean going to Australia for a year (No offense for the people who have done or are doing that). I do to want to go to Australia but the point is what keeps us so…. boring? Where is the curiosity, our number one characteristic? Why does everyone always have to think about their future and in the end money? You dont have to get your son a 15000 ferrari, he’ll enjoy a ball or a bike probably more..

Last week the adapter of my laptop died so i cant upload any photo’s or whatever! Right now im trying to buy one but it doesnt work so i have to wait for rob ;(.

3 weeks its been already.. by now i know every swear word in french which is very useful for greeting people over here. but also normal words! im starting to recognize words like who, when, what, why, where etc. still annoying cause sometimes you mix up words but im getting there :p. what worries me more is when i leave france (one day..), i will forget everything again. cause when im trying to remember some of the norwegian i’ve been taught i do not remember everything .

for the ones who dont know. im staying at Haras de la boutteilerie.

Situated in the beautiful countryside of Normandy, close to Deauville, is Haras de la Bouteillerie. The farm houses approximately 20 horses, varying from foals to experienced dressage horses. To keep the horses in good condition we have about 9 hectares (approximately 22.2 acres) of grassland, an outdoor arena (20 x 40 meters) and paddocks where they can get their exercise. Of course, you cannot forget the motivated staff that is instrumental in keeping the standards of the farm and the care of the horses at the highest level.

2 out of 4 foals(veulens) in the arena. one has a really nice trot/canter already

I have to confess…. I didnt train a lot this week, but it was a really fun week. Starting from our last monday news, tuesday Rob and Daniele (ehhh suikerbuikje.:p) came over to Glasgow. So i got dropped at the bus station in dunfermline (about 6 miles from here/8 km) and i hopped on the bus towards Glasgow. I arrived 1,5 hour later in Glasgow but soon figured out that the train station wasnt there. So i found myself the information desk and the guy behind the desk gave me a map and explained me how to get to the train station. So there i walked through town with my map. I worried a bit if i was going in the right way but i didnt want to ask anyone. Fortunately i pretty quick found the train station and surprisingly i walked into them almost right away! We chatted for a minute or two and walked into town. We had some drinks first and continued walking. After our search for the hotel we finally found it, dropped our stuff and had another drink at a pub just across the street. From there on we basically visited every pub, club / bar in town! haha. Not forgetting to mention we had a nice dinner too! (ook al was het een soort van gepland rop…) I really enjoyed them staying. Cant wait till next time..

Thursday i had a problem with my hair and a problem with my shoes. Now for some of you it isnt new that i cut my own hair. But now i also fix my shoes.

My shoe lases where falling apart so with a piece of plastic bag and a lighter i melt it back together haha. I feel like a super tramp (super zwerver)
