Horse is arrived! Well… actually 2/3 weeks ago. We’ve been working with him since and he’s doing really well. Now i just need to start vaulting normal again.. haha. I still don’t feel like my old me even though im showing some progression. It’s probably because of the new horse too but still. I want to be vaulting like my old me again. And better.
The family found me last weekend. My mom and dad came for a visit which was really nice. Friday was their arrival and i showed them around. As good parents do, they gave me presents anda big survival pack:P. I’ve had a lot of food i liked to eat in Holland. Also my sis and uncle and aunt gave me a small survival pack. (mostly candy though..;)) I’d really like to thank my sis for the small ba(rt)cardi bottle though, didn’t use it yet but i will soon:P. After all that we went to have a look in Deauville that and night and had something to eat. Saturday it was Tour the France day. We jumped in the car and went straight towards Honfleur, stopped there for a while and walked around town. After we went on to Trouville, same again and on to Deauville. At night we watched a movie and in all between we chatted about everything and nothing. The weather on Sunday was terrible. We planned to go to Trouville in the morning. Every Sunday morning there is a market but the weather really could have been better.. So instead we had a lazy morning and about 11 my parents drove back to Holland again. It felt really weird because that night i was talking on the phone to them when they where back home again and it felt like they’ve had never been here.. Too quick, tooooo quick.. Again in 2 months?

This in reaction to your heartwarming( and sometimes philosophical!) observations. By the way, why “fly (vlieg)” rather than “flying(vliegende)” Dutchman ? We are enjoying each issue on your website, but want you to know that we too are looking forward to your company back here ( this summer ?) though.
Gromelau and I will be celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary this year and of course we count on your presence for the occasion!
We’ll have a “family reunion” on board of “our”s.s. Rotterdam V – once flagship of the Dutch merchant marine, and as of this year permanently in the Rotterdam harbour.
A bunk has been booked for you in a luxury cabin for the night of Saturday August 21. Please jot this date down in your diary !
