Finished being a landscaper! the yard is finished. well atleast for me. they only need to do some touch ups but the guys had to move on to another job (tight schedule..) they will return next week for a day or 2 but im done over here. Below a pic of three weeks ago. I have some new ones but no time to get them on the computer yet. no time really to be posting this message either but what the hey. (the pool looks way better now;))

Goals for the next month is finding another job, a cool van, start taking driving lessons (comes in handy when i want to use my oh so cool van!;)) And becomming 22 but remaining 21. Im also going to create “transports of delight”. its going to be a large banner with inspiration for our trip. When the banner is full of pictures and other things possible i hope we can make a decision of whether its going to be a roadtrip or backpacking & also where all this will take place! I’ve already found some pics but they’re not on the banner yet. As soon as i’ve made a start ill update the page!
Lets get started!

So i’ve been working as a landscaper again (how fun!). When the weather is nice it’s great work. Good for the body and nice it’s outside. Bad side of the story is that i have to get up tooooo early! The weather this week is/will be great so +1 for that.
This week i’m trying to finish a small website for the cradle to cradle competition. Unfortunately i didnt design it but its quiet nice. Should be finished at the end of the week. Also getting cheval frison’s website online soon. It needs some more horse spirit so i;m trying to think of a nice graphic way to get that.
my birthday june the 14th. any suggestions?
slaap lekkkrr
A new look to my oh so cool blog! From now on I’ll be uploading new work, some activities & future plans. I’m not going to say I’m going to post a news item every week…. But only if there’s something nice to share. So far Neil and I decided to go traveling somewhere in the end of the year and probably decide the last day where we are going to. We would love to get suggestions from you so let us know!
work?
Ah, I made an alright CV. I’ll update this post tomorrow with some pics. for now it’s sleepy time.
nite nite, bonne nuit, trust
Yesterday, arrival at 21:00. we left deauville at 18:30. shortest ride to saumur so far. pretty nice! so on our ‘wij zijn de mannen van de nacht’ & ‘de soup is aangebrand’ way we had to arrange a place for me to stay cause i had only arranged a place for fri. sat. and sunday. rob called and i text some people. that didnt work out until we arrived. i got to stay with the belgian team for a night. im very thankful cause otherwise i would have to pay another 75,- for the night and i was thinking of spending those on food & drinks. glad i worked out this way. this morning i walked throught saumur for a while and after i went to see the vet. check. all dutch and belgian & brittish horses got through. bien! after that everyone went away getting their horses back in their box or went for training. i decided to go and have a look at the training and fortunately the current european champion just jumped on the horse. watching him do his training taught me some things i will remember. he left and i sat there atleast for another hour when i decided to go. after being outside for 4 hours i got pretty cold and wanted something warm to eat or drink. lucky me, it was raining. so before i arrived i got soaking wet. i just finished my hot chocolate with cream and enjoyed the time being alone thinking about random things and ofcourse writing this!
soon more to come:)
a tout
//update 2
So…. I simply did not have time to update anymore since there was too much going on. In short; i had a great time. This year Saumur was great. Met some really nice people and enjoyed. Friday night was the bomb haha!(sory patrick
).
Saumur 2011?
No vaulting in Saumur, so just a weekend off. Return of the legend on Monday!
//
landing is a bit hard but we’re getting there
After many days of thinking what to write for my dear readers of the sometimes weekly, now monthly news posts, I’ve finally come up with some points.
First of all I’d like to inform you all that I’m sitting in the sun writing this on a peace of paper without a shirt on! Yes dear readers, the sun is that nice. Not to make you entirely jealous, I won’t walk around like this cause the wind is still pretty cold. No picture tho cause that would make you entirely jealous ( ha-ha )
Saumur is coming up and for the ones who don’t know, It’s an international vaulting competition. I’ve been asked by the Belgian team to help them out with their compulsories since one of them is injured. Well.. asked.. It sort of happened automatically. Rob and I have been training for a while now but last week i was getting nervous already. It’s weird cause I’ve never been like this before a competition. The reason is I know I can improve so much on some exorcises in a short period of time. I know cause I’ve been better and this period I’ve been abroad I’ve worked a lot on my physical skills. Ah well.. 1,5 week to go.
Which reminds me, after Saumur I’m planning on going home again. I’m in need for money ever-since there is another great trip ahead. So “The End?” NO! I’m also a bit done living with just a few pounds and euro’s. I do want to continuous vaulting when i come back, so if anyone in the vaulting world is reading this… I’m also looking for a well paid job. (attention! well paid is underlined)
Some business talk: Robs website is going great. It’s really looking good and working nice. I’ve finished the logo for theDutchdesigner.com and the website itself is starting to shape up as well.

Any good?
Clouds are forming, the sun is away, my t-shirt is back on, so a good time to stop writing. Might be the last greetings from France…
Ps. It will be nice seeing everyone again.
Horse is arrived! Well… actually 2/3 weeks ago. We’ve been working with him since and he’s doing really well. Now i just need to start vaulting normal again.. haha. I still don’t feel like my old me even though im showing some progression. It’s probably because of the new horse too but still. I want to be vaulting like my old me again. And better.
The family found me last weekend. My mom and dad came for a visit which was really nice. Friday was their arrival and i showed them around. As good parents do, they gave me presents anda big survival pack:P. I’ve had a lot of food i liked to eat in Holland. Also my sis and uncle and aunt gave me a small survival pack. (mostly candy though..;)) I’d really like to thank my sis for the small ba(rt)cardi bottle though, didn’t use it yet but i will soon:P. After all that we went to have a look in Deauville that and night and had something to eat. Saturday it was Tour the France day. We jumped in the car and went straight towards Honfleur, stopped there for a while and walked around town. After we went on to Trouville, same again and on to Deauville. At night we watched a movie and in all between we chatted about everything and nothing. The weather on Sunday was terrible. We planned to go to Trouville in the morning. Every Sunday morning there is a market but the weather really could have been better.. So instead we had a lazy morning and about 11 my parents drove back to Holland again. It felt really weird because that night i was talking on the phone to them when they where back home again and it felt like they’ve had never been here.. Too quick, tooooo quick.. Again in 2 months?
So far last weeks news!
Don’t worry, be happy
ps. Dankjewel Pap, Mam, Jos, Ar, luc, zus en zus, Gromelauw & opa Aart voor alle lekkers en gifts. heeeel lief
groetekes
First Rob and i was next. I’ve been ill the last couple of day’s. Well i was ill on wednesday. Yesterday and today i felt a lot better but still weak. Now today i’m feeling a bit better then the days before. Lets hope for me i’ll be the normal me again at the beginning of next week. If the wind is coming from the south you better stay in cause it’s not such a nice flu.
Good news after bad news.
A Belgian horse is coming tomorrow together with the owner and her daughter of the owner which is one of the Belgian vaulters. I dont know for how long they’re staying but i’m looking forward to there arrival. The horse will stay so Rob and I can train the horse for the Belgians and at the same time it will be some training for me too. Must feel a bit weird jumping on the horse again but i’m looking forward. Now all we need is some good weather, a horse with a good attitude and no more flu’s.
So where were we.
Tour the France round 2&3, and a new bourne foal! The little guy is round 2 weeks old now and it’s a special one. It might be one of the or the most special frisian horse out there at the moment. His mother has one of the most rare blood lines there are and same goes for his father. Lets hope for the family the little guy becomes a beautiful stallion.
Remarkable things in round 2 of the Tour de France. A beautiful old building in center of Trouville. 15000,- Ferrari kiddy car in a toy store. One “forbidden don’t go any further than this” sign isn’t enough, three should do the job. And I found a bakery whom sold ham&cheese croissants. Enjoy the pictures!
Final thoughts.
I’ve been thinking about a certain subject which is playing at the moment and it made me realize that the core of man kind is getting taught what to do, some years ago work and nowadays school and work afterwords. Even when i was at home i realized that there are so many things to see or do on earth. Everyone knows about it via radio, television & internet but still sooo many people stay at home start working, build up some sort of a career and a family usually follows. I would suspect that ever-since the possibilities are really becoming endless that at-least half of the new generation would go abroad and travel or work and travel. And by traveling i don’t mean going to Australia for a year (No offense for the people who have done or are doing that). I do to want to go to Australia but the point is what keeps us so…. boring? Where is the curiosity, our number one characteristic? Why does everyone always have to think about their future and in the end money? You dont have to get your son a 15000 ferrari, he’ll enjoy a ball or a bike probably more..
Got my laptop up and running again! i felt a little bit of joy when the new adapter arrived.. its just more easy looking up websites on a 17″ then on a mobile phone… and i can do my assignments again! which reminds me. www.cvibelgium.com
so many things happened in such a short time. a LOT of pictures. cant and wont upload them all right now but ill show you how i make my dinner and a trip to a huuuge church. this one better known as a Basilique.
Dinner! and it was lovely. rob brought unox erwtensoep (or translated.. Unox peas soup) and young cheese. As you can see i was watching a movie at the same time. I held a movie night and watched 5 movies haha. started at 18:00 and finished at 01:30 i believe. it was a great evening. for people who want to know.. American Pie 1 till 5 and 6 the day after

And every peace of art you’ve seen in the pictures of the Basilique is made out of mosaic. Its unbelievable

So enough for tonight. ill promise to write more during the weekend or maybe it’ll be next week because the weather was super today and it will be the same this weekend!
to get you guys jealous here’s proof;

Stay tuned cause there’s been a Tour the France round 2 and 3 already. oh and great news! i bought some new clothes yesterday in deauville. 3 sweaters. guess what it cost me…?
a bientot
